In session with me

Your emotions aren’t the enemy. They’re trying to tell you something important.

COLLABORATIVE. HOLISTIC. GOAL-ORIENTED.

Feeling truly understood can be the most transformative thing that happens in therapy.

I tailor my approach to your concerns, goals, and who you
are as a whole person.

Sessions are collaborative from the start. They may be more structured at first as we get to know each other and build trust, becoming more client-led as your sense of agency deepens. I take an integrative approach to therapy guided by your goals. You’ll develop concrete skills for tackling immediate concerns alongside insight-oriented strategies for deeper personal growth. Clients who understand how their past and present have shaped them are better able to recognize when old habits resurface and make different choices.

The therapeutic alliance – the relationship formed between therapist and client – is the greatest predictor of positive outcomes in therapy.

I tend to find a point of connection with clients quickly, which lets us get to the meaningful work sooner. My detail-oriented nature means I listen carefully both to what you say and what sits underneath it. Sharing intersecting identities with my clients also creates a particular kind of ease. You don't have to explain your lived experience on a foundational level because there's an unspoken mutual understanding.

As you meet your therapy goals,
you collect the tools you need to navigate life as the main character of your story.

That includes developing the ability to recognize when the people or systems around you are acting in ways that only benefit them. It could be a one-sided friendship, a toxic workplace, or a neglectful healthcare system. You’ll gain clarity on when to engage, when to set a boundary, and when something just isn't worth your energy. Most importantly, you’ll have a clearer sense of who you are and what you want in life – regardless of what other people expect from you.

The Approaches That Inform My Work

Change is possible. It starts with feeling truly understood.

One of the most courageous actions you can take is asking for help.
